These Terms of Service govern your use of Owl Pod, a video storytelling service operated by Owl Pod Tech. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Owl Pod is operated by Owl Pod Tech. If you have account, safety, privacy, or legal questions about the service, contact support@owlpodtech.com.
Who can use Owl Pod
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You must be legally able to use the service where you live. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Owl Pod only with the involvement or permission of a parent or guardian where required by law.
- You may use Owl Pod only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.
Your stories and other content
- You keep ownership of the stories, profile information, messages, and other content you create in Owl Pod.
- You give Owl Pod permission to host, process, back up, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate the service and the features you choose to use.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed for any content you upload or share.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload or share illegal, abusive, fraudulent, infringing, or privacy-violating content.
- Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, or exploit other users.
- Do not interfere with the security, reliability, or normal operation of the app or services.
- Follow our Community Guidelines, which are part of how we enforce safe use of the service.
Story credits, gifting, and purchases
- Owl Pod may offer story credits and gifting features through in-app purchase.
- Story credits are a limited license to use features within Owl Pod. They have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and cannot be transferred except through the in-app gifting features we provide.
- When you buy a gift product, Owl Pod may grant credits to both the purchaser and the intended recipient according to the product description shown at checkout.
- Pricing, availability, and purchase processing for iOS purchases are handled through Apple's App Store.
- Refund requests are handled through Apple for App Store purchases. If Apple refunds, reverses, or revokes a purchase, Owl Pod may reverse the related story credits and gift ledger entries.
- Taxes, billing, and payment processing terms that Apple applies through the App Store also apply to those purchases.
Moderation and enforcement
- We may review reports, investigate abuse, remove content, limit features, suspend gifts or credits, or restrict accounts when needed to protect users or the service.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
Account deletion and termination
- You can request account deletion from the app's Settings screen.
- After a deletion request is submitted, access to the account may be disabled while the request is processed.
- We may retain limited records when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or payment-reconciliation purposes.
Service availability
We work to keep Owl Pod available and reliable, but the service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued.
Third-party services
Parts of Owl Pod rely on third-party infrastructure and platform providers such as Apple for App Store transactions and AWS-hosted infrastructure for storage, networking, and authentication-related operations. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy notices.
Liability limits
To the extent allowed by law, Owl Pod Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of Owl Pod.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection or privacy law. Where local law gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we may update the in-app or public notice and revise the date above.
